Communion

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith, where we encounter Christ in a profound and personal way. In receiving the Eucharist, we are invited into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Preparation for First Holy Communion

Baptized children aged six and older are invited to enroll in our Religious Education program to begin their preparation for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. Preparation requires a minimum of two consecutive years of faith formation.

Preparation for this sacrament is a meaningful journey that involves both the child and the family. We ask that families be ready to embrace the following commitments:

  • Active participation in Sunday Mass, with parents leading by example
  • Consistent attendance at Religious Education classes
  • Ongoing parent involvement in reinforcing faith at home
  • A foundational understanding of the sacraments
  • Attendance at all required parent meetings
  • Participation in scheduled retreats for parents and/or students
